About Us
Beautiful Tawny Frogmouth Owl in Care
Being a Wildlife Carer myself with the support of my wonderful husband and wanting to once again bring out a magazine as writing and publishing is my favourite thing to do in the whole world. So when we designed this magazine it was with the belief that we would be creating something small - to dedicate to Tasmanian Wildlife Carers - to train and educate about the beautiful Tasmanian Wildlife - however after bringing out the first Issue of the magazine and offering it as a FREE download - wildlife carers on Facebook put the word out and suddenly we had an influx of activity - over 6,000 people download the magazine within the first 30 days.
We started receiving FAN mail from people all over Australia and even in the United Kingdom and the United States.
People wanted to become involved in the magazine - we had phone calls and emails from Veterinarians, zoo and wildlife sanctuary Owners, animal handlers, including animal management controllers, snake handlers contacted us and we enjoyed so much their interesting line of field my husband and myself went on to become 'Snake Rescuers' ourselves doing all the necessary training involved, many wildlife artists contacted us, rangers, vet nurses, photographers, animal welfare suppliers, charities looking for fundraising ideas, really any person who is a wildlife and animal lover are keen to read this publication.
However it put us in a situation - how were we to continue the magazine in such a large proportion (last Issue was double the page count of the first Issue).
So we have decided to open the pages to advertisers and my husband and I quit our jobs and now we HAVE to make it work!
So please support us by advertising with us - advertising rates are available on the tabs above - if you care for wildlife in any form we have discounted rates so we too can try to support you back.
